My bottom line is if "Competition is (SO) good for everyone"... Everyone should make their customer lists public. Imagine how "competitive" things would be then!! But that's not going to happen because you and others have WORKED to acquire that customer base. (And I totally agree..)
My main point is that there should be 'limits' to what is 'fair game'. You obviously agree because you aggressively protect your customer base. You would probably (rightly so..) refuse to release the names of folks on your list who are not even presently your customers... but have expressed an interest and MIGHT sign up with you. You have done a lot of work and you deserve the fruits of that time and money.
On that we both agree..
