Steve; I thought I already answered your last question. NO, I would not disclose my list of customers! Does Macy's tell Gimble's? Hoever, don't confuse confidential mailing lists with public ebay bidder information and publicly available email addresses.
Steve; in spite of your protestations.... confidential mailing lists can not be compared to public information that is readily avialable to anyone who wants it. To disclose some of my customers names would betray those individuals who don't want their names and collecting interests disclosed for security reasons. Even the complete club membership list is not available for the asking. There are many members who wish to be unlisted. Only those members who have volunteered their names and addresses be published are listed in the club directory..... same as the e-directories on this bb, at chequers.com, and the ccgtcc website. When someone bids on an item on ebay, they are giving up a facet of their privacy. They are letting the world know of their specific wants and interests and become fair game for solicitations from others. If you don't see the difference between publicly disclosed ebay bidders and a confidential mailing list, then there is no need to continue this thread any further.
My bottom line with respect to Ebay is; "Competition is good for everyone Steve". Obviously, you disagree. That doesn't make you or I correct... nor does it make those who don't follow your logic, "scum suckers".
