When I returned to the antique show today to get the Resorts chips I wandered through the show one more time to see if there was anything new. I was looking for a dealer that was not at his table yesterday and had some really nice casino matchbooks. As I passed one of the local antique dealers my jaw dropped as I saw four stacks of chip pages at his table and a sign saying his collection was for sale. This guy told me four years ago that he had a "few" casino chips but he wasn't really a collector. In truth they weren't casino chips but poker chips - over 800 different chips! He refused to break up the collection and it took me an hour and a HUGE pile of money to get four of the pages from him. I took the Crest and Seal and Advertising poker chips. I am hoping that it was worth the money I threw at him since the chip shown below was also included in with a box of extras!!! As the heading says, the rest of his poker chip collection is for sale. There are over 700 different poker chips including common chips and chips I have never seen before. His price for this collection is $1500. I have no stake in this but will send his phone number to anyone interested.

BTW I know the Last Frontier chip is "Z" rated but can anyone tell me what a good sales price is? I am not interested in selling at this time but "over $800" leaves a lot of room for the imagination to run wild. I am just curious as to what it is really worth.
