This question gets discussed about every 5 weeks on the BB. One gets complacent on answering it. I have had the first model Mavica for 2 years. For my needs, putting pictures on the net, the Sony Mavica with the floppy disk is the only camera that makes sense. The storage medium of the 25 cent disk says it all compared to some of those $30.00 for other cameras. Six of my friends have bought the Mavica and all are very happy. One friend had a Cannon that broke and he replaced it with a Mavica. The price range is still $499.00, you just get a lot more features. Can be found cheaper on the net. There are $1000.00 Mavicas too. Being able to hand someone a disk and letting them put the pictures on the net from a function, comes in handy. You know how we all hate to put our pictures in the album.
