Gee, Paul, how many people do you sell chips to who never have chips to sell or trade to you? What do you charge them? I have lots of customers who do nothing to put chips in my collection, except they buy chips from me. Makes them happy. Makes me happy. Lets see, Hilton just released a chip. I've put at least 16 hours into fetching the chips, corresponding with the purchasers, packaging, multiple trips to the post office (they don't all buy the same day, and I don't make people wait until all the orders are in), letting people know their chips are mailed, letting people know I got the money (just seems the nice way to conduct business). At $3 a chip, I've made less than $100 so far. I suppose that's better than minimum wage, but not by much. I'm certainly not doing it for the money. I've got a real job that pays the bills. I'm just a collector, making chips available to other collectors, hoping it'll put a few more chips in my collection.
We've got Hot August Nights coming. That'll eat a big hole in my summer. If I can't put a few nice chips in my collection for my efforts, I've got better things to do. Fortunately, most of the people who come to me for chips think my prices are fair and my service is exemplary.
Now, I would like all chips under $5, and I'm happy to pay what I charge, because I know how much work it takes. With all the people I get chips for, who will get me the Hustler chips for the same price I charge, or trade face?
