John,
What you are posting is, for example:
1. A BJ player can play at a .43% didavandage. He can not and never will be able to play at that disavandage.
2. A video poker player can play at a .46% disavantage. He can not!!!
If I remember an earlier thread, someone said roulette was a .50% disavandage. Jim Cruise told us that a roulette table averages a hold of 30%. Geez, big difference from true odds, ain't it?
You are leaving out several factors in your formula.
People that believe what you are saying are the ones that lose their houses, cars, wives, and kids.
You also posted:
"In fact I have been surprised that there has occasionally been some "bad" information given out by those who I think should know better."
I suppose I am one of "those"
In "fact" I AM THE ONE THAT DOES KNOW BETTER. The bad information is "TRUE ODDS."
You also posted:
"You have to play the games perfectly to get anything near the true odds."
I imfactly say, "you can not come within 10 times of the "true odds" you posted.
True odds are based on perfect play for the entire run of the cards. Do you have any idea how long it would take a dealer to deal an entire run of the cards? I can tell you for sure, your kidneys would be in major trouble!! Just remember if you go to pee, the run of the cards start over, because you missed a hand.
BTW, I have seen the "BAD" players walk away with the money, and the "SO CALLED" good players sitting around and saying how bad he played.
Have fun with gambling, but forget about true odds, because it ain't going to happen.
Peace, my friend.
