I respectfully disagree. A miniscule number of packages are stolen by employees of the U.S. Postal Service or UPS. Sending things overseas can be a different matter. Very few USPS employees would risk losing a good civil service job over a theft. Ditto for UPS drivers and a good union job. Most packages that are "stolen" in the U.S. mail or UPS are actually fraud perpetuated by the shipper or recipient or items stolen from an unlocked home mailbox or doorstep.
