Paul:
I have been using Earthlink for approximately 4 years now. I switched to DSL a few months back with them. I have always (probably 3 or 4 occasions which were MY fault) found Tech help to be thorough and easy to get on the telephone. They are competitive at $19.95/mo. The DSL deal was: All equipment and installation free, first 3 months free, then $49/month thereafter with a 1 year contract. I'm certain their DSL monthly cost will go down as there are more and more DSL providers on the market. In case you aren't familiar with DSL, it stands for "Digital Service Line", works on your regular phone lines but allows you to talk on the same telephone line even when you're online. The MAIN advantage of DSL is that instead of 53,000 bits per second of transmission, you are hooked up at 10,000,000 bits per second! Quite a difference!
