Like many other chippers, I started just picking up nice, small, inexpensive casino souvinirs.
My brother used to go to Bullhead City (across from Southpoint, now Laughlin) for fishing. I sometimes went with him, but my interest was the casinos. I was 21 at the time. It was 1978. Joined the club in 1990. I never thought anybody else ever collected these things. Boy was I wrong.
The first time I went to the Bellflower Chip Show (now Casinorama) I could not believe there were so many chips that "escaped" from casinos. Today, I still can't believe so many chips escaped.
What a great hobby!
