Hi Katie,
Harvey's is a good place to start from in Central City, you can walk to the rest of the casinos, and walk past the buildings that used to be casinos, there aren't very many left up there.
You could also walk to Black Hawk (the towns are less than a mile apart), but the walk back up the hill to Harvey's might be more exercise than you want. You can take the free shuttle from and to Harvey's, or you can drive down to Black Hawk. Most of the casinos have valet only parking, with conditions for the parking to be free parking (minimum play using their players card for instance.) The Riviera and the Isle of Capri both have self parking, and are at the eastern edge of Black Hawk. You can park at either place, and just start heading uphill, hitting casinos on one side of the street, then hit the casinos on the other side of the street on the way back down.
Most Colorado casinos are way different than Vegas casinos. Its a nice kind of different, but definitely different!
Have fun!
Bob (wishing I could show you around but I have to work)
