James: It would not be possible to pinpoint the exact year, but this is a hard to acquire chip [NOTE: ARCHIE, if you are lurking, that I did not use the "R" word]. I had been collecting about 10 years before I got my first one which I think I got from Allan Myers. Probably first came out in the late 19th or very early 20 Century.
