Gene, I only used the word 'fantasy' as I did not know just what to call them either. I agree they are not the same as the fantasy chips we are accustomed to seeing as these chips were, in fact, to be used as playing chips in a real casino and at the face amount printed.
We have had other chips sold in the market place (such as the ones from Tinian sold by Chipco.) that suffered the same fate as these but offered at an affortable and reasonable price. As we know, the value on the face of the chip has no bearing to the price paid for these chips by the seller. He probably paid the same for the $1.00 chip as he paid for the $500.00 chip.
Just think of how many chips could be sold, at say $2.00 each. I expect most people on this board would be willing to pay that for such a beautiful chip.
