... David, but you have repeated here two very common errors in discussing the issue of freedom of speech.
First, this is NOT a free speech issue. The First Amendment and the concept of Freedom of Speech applies ONLY with respect to governmental interference with our speech. Since there is no governmental action involved here, there is no free speech issue. Greg can censor our posts any way he wants and we would have no recourse under the Constitution. That he chooses not to is just that, a choice on his part.
Second, although Freedom of Speech appears in the first amendment, that was NOT a result of any particular emphasis by our founding fathers. When the Bill of Rights was presented, it had 12 proposed amendments. Freedom of Speech, etc., was in the 3rd proposed amendment. It ended up the First Amendment only because the 1st and 2nd proposed amendments were not adopted.
Don't mean to be picking on you, David, but Freedom of Speech is one of my favorite legal subjects and I think it important that a discussion of the issue be factually and legally accurate.
I have said before and will say again here, anyone who doesn't like a particular post (or subject) here, can always use that mouse filtering thing.
