I was just noticing the $2000 Luxor Millennium chip that's a featured auction on Ebay. Unless I'm missing something, at the current bid of $2,035, won't the seller be losing $115? (The featured auction fee is $99.95 plus Ebay's going to take something like $50 as a commission.) Plus couldn't a buyer just buy one of the chips directly from the Luxor? I can't imagine the Luxor wouldn't sell one by mail considering the high profit in it for the casino. Or else I bet someone on the board who lives in Las Vegas would pick one up for a small fee. This auction seems kind of a lose/lose situation. (And of course the zero feedback rating of the current high bidder makes me wonder if the bid is legitimate, but I'll leave that for another day.)
