Good Afternoon Ladies & Gentlemen:
This is an interesting collectible. At least it is to me as I've never seen one before. I'm told this is a golf ball marker. It's about 25mm in diameter, 1mm thick, brass plated steel, appears to be hand enameled (painted). I understand enough about golf to see the need for each player to mark his/her ball when on the green & remove it to give the player putting a clear shot at the cup. What I don't understand is: why not just use a coin? Each player could use a penny, nickel, dime, or quarter. Can someone explain this to me? By the way, if on the off chance this appeals to anyone...yes, I'll trade it.
