John; One of the great things about this board is that it allows ALL of us to express our opinions. I've candidly expressed mine, which apparently you disagree with... and that's o.k. with me. I take no offense to your reply. I would be interested in hearing CT Rodgers (the club's Advertising Manager for the magazine) express his personal thoughts and opinions regarding the lack of advertising on an electronically produced magazine that is available to "everyone and not just club members". I wonder who is going to pay the bills? Certainly not the advertisers if that's going to be the new club medium of the future. Dues alone does not pay all the bills either.
As far as "big Potatoes go"... I wonder what happened to the prediction in the last campaign about how large this club would grow in one or two years? One candidate predicted upwards to 10,000. According to a report published on page 7 of the current issue of the club magazine, the club's active members (while steadily increasing each quarter) stands at 2254 members as of January. I wonder how many new club members were signed up by those who made a few of those rosy, ambitious, sounds-good predictions?
