I have the Nikon 800, which is the same camera as the 950, less the swivel lens, and it cost me $499.00 at Costco wholesale. It is a great camera, with unsurpassed lens clarity, and produces clearer images than currently attainable from a floppy disk media, at least with our present technology, and uses the compact flash memory card as a "film" media. A "single high resolution image" with dense detail as is common, can easily fill or even require more space than in available on a floppy disk. I have taken many shots where as few as 6 images required 8 megabytes of media space. If your serious about photography, i suggest you buy a camera that uses a compact flash memory card.
