Wayne, Robert makes some good points. I can speak to you about the Sony Mavica. It is very nice for uploading pictures to the web as the camera puts the pictures on a regular floppy disk (only about 10 pictures per disk)then all you have to do is upload the picture. There are no cables to hook up to your computer. You are also able to shoot 5seconds worth of video with the camera. The chip below was shot with the camera. There is alot of info on digital camera.
