You bet, John Scarne was, I believe, several years ahead of Edward O. Thorpe, with Statistical analysis, and wrote such books as, "Scarne on Cards" and "Scarne on Dice" He was THE "Card Counter Extrordinaire" enough that he had banned from play at most all casinos before I ever heard of Edward Thorpe or his book, "Beat the Dealer". You're right, there is some great reading available out there from John Scarne.
