When deals are made the players are paid according to what the deal was & that shows on any paperwork filled out. Also, if a person was backed in an event then there is another form (I can't remember it right now) that is filled out so that the backer & player are responsible for their own shares of the prize money. I have also seen winners paid by check, but, more often in chips.

On a sidenote, I played & won a $1,600 Razz satellite tonight which had Archie Karras sitting to my left. He was trying hard to win a satellite to get into Monday's Razz tournament. It's hard to believe that just a couple of years ago he had close to $30,000,000! For those who have never heard of Archie it's an amazing story. Also, Anne Spinetti (The lovely Wife of Mike Spinetti) is in the $10,000 buy-in event after having won a seat Saturday night. I had an enjoyable time sweating her final table. Anne handles the No-Limit games & Mike takes care of the Omaha Hi-Lo end. <G> Meanwhile, I'm out of here to get a few hours sleep before I play in the Razz tournament at noon today.........Andy - Las Vegas
