...too Katie. I have no problem with people asking, and a pitboss making such a suggestion. That to me is at the very least an implied consent by the casino.
The only reason I'm posting my opinions on this subject here is because of the recent flurry of BB posts about organized roulette runs during the convention. I want some of the newer club members to know that there are differing opinions about collecting some types of chips, and provide some food for thought from a differing opinion.
I don't personally collect roulette chips. I love the game, fly to Vegas monthly because it isn't available in Colorado, and have probably had more roulette chips in front of me than many "harvesters".
I don't consider my friends who collect roulette chips to be criminals (tho' some casinos do.)<G> I do consider the chips to be a unique marker used in gaming, won't remove one from a table unless it has a denomination on it. The casino makes these chips available for rent at the value you place on them. Just like the car at the airport, you should return it.
