Hey Scott,

I know that the scanner prices are coming down, as well as prices for computers and peripherals. I've been using my HP ScanJet IIcx for over five years and on two (soon to be three) different computers.
I also paid a bit more for it then, than what the current high-end scanners are going for now...

I've been able to get some really nice scans from it.
