I agree. Early on in my Ebay experence with bidding, I would bid on items early and wait until they close only to find that (1) some one would keep bidding up the item to near my max just to up the bids or (2)was outbid by .01 to .50 per item; with many of those bids only a minute before the item closed. Now I wait to there is a minute left in the auction and have at it. Either it goes above what I want to pay or I get it for a lot less then I expected to pay.
