The discussion of the Sycuan pseudo-chipco 50c chip got me to thinking about other fractional Chipcos. I have lots of them from California, cruise ships, other states, but not a single one from Nevada. Why do you suppose no Nevada casino has made a quarter or half in the traditional Chipco style?
That got me to thinking about $1 Chipcos. I can only think of SEVEN dollar Chipcos from Nevada casinos. All but one are regular-issue table chips.
Arizona Charlies
Caesars Tahoe
Casino Royale
Circus Circus, Reno
Desert Inn
Hyatt Lake Tahoe (20th birthday commemorative)
Luxor
Does anyone know of another? Would make a nice compact mini-collection <g>.
And the same question: with all the business Chipco gets for $5 commemoratives, why haven't more dollar regular-issue chips been made?
TCR authors... have you ever done an inquiry on your data base for Chipcos with denominations of a dollar or less? I'd be interested in what you find.
