When I first started collecting I bought a bunch of chips from one seller. He posted a very high shipping costs so I bought several chips feeling that the combined shipping would offset the high cost.

WhenI pointed out to the seller that I had bought multiple lots and his shipping costs were greatly reduced he only agreed to reduce shipping by a little bit, saying that because of his posted high shipping people figure that into the bid and the high bid would have been higher if he didn't charge his very high shipping (it was like $4.00 on each).

This is clearly a violation of ebay rules (it is considered fee avoidance), however I was new to the hobby and new to ebay so I just paid the money and never bid on one of his auctions again. I looked today and saw that he was no longer a registered user, I guess it caught up with him.

It don't mind shipping charges which might be a little higher than actual cost but if this situation happened again I certainly wouldn't pay the guy I ebay would hear about it.
