Take at look at the early Flamingo chip that was sold today on eBay. The maroon HCE mold that TCR dates to 1949. I checked back issues of Howdy's auction catalogs and could not find a single listing for it.

Final price was $525.11. If the stock market had not recovered today, I might have gotten it <g>.

Always fun to see who will find these hidden treasures, sometimes mis-described as a token or keychain. I spoke to the seller and she is selling it for a co-worker who found it in a jewelry box while cleaning out some old boxes. Minimum bid was $3.99!

Might want to consider updating the S* listing in TCR, Allan. James' book has this at $1400, and that's probably not too extreme.
