Andy, I still have to come down on Ralph's side of the argument. But I believe his point is against the Casinos who maintain these 'lists', not necessarily against the folks who have managed to get their names on a list. At least that's my take on it.
I guess I just don't understand the casino's logic. O.K., they have you on the list for 70 chips. So why couldn't Ralph or anyone else walk up and get 10 or 20 chips? By the cage refusing to sell a reasonable amount to Ralph, it appears to me that the entire 1,040 chips were already committed to the local dealers. That's where I see the problem.
Why wouldn't they sell 20 to Ralph, and 10 to the next guy until balance of the chips were gone from the cage? Were all but a VERY few already promised to dealers?
