That's why I asked if a non-Adobe program could view them, Dick. I know the Adobe photo programs can, although I find their use of them of little value. It seems to me if the thumbnail views are stored as part of the picture file, a browser could make use of them if HTML asked it to. I've just never heard of any facility to do this.

Yes, Photodeluxe 2 also shows the little pictures when you highlight a file to open.
