Chips not to high!
In Response To: ISN'T THIS A BIT HIGH? ()

In so much as it is I who have these chips for sale on e-bay, the price for this set at least is not too high. I deal in both military club tokens and casino chips/tokens. The Military tokens, for the most part, are well documented, bact to the civil war days, when they first wildly became used. For a new set of military tokens to come out at this late point in time is rather unsual, and military related chips espically so. When you consider the number of military collectors and the few number of unknow chips from a military base to come on the market at the same time, it is a fair price for these items. The total number of chips produced for each denomination was I think about 200 of each. Given that they are at least 25 years old if not older, and the fact that I only have a total of 21 sets in stock, the price is more then fair. If you check the military reference books for known chips from other military installations, the price is right in line for what a know chip is going for. In one of my mail bid auctions, a $5.00 chip from a base from Japan went for $86.00 - for one chip! A set of 3 chips for this price I feel is more then fair and I will offer a set to the customers on my fixed price list at $50.00 per set, post paid and insured. Same offer to anyone on this board who wants to pony up rather then bid on e-bay. Limit one set per person.

Thanks!
