In Response To: Sands Flambouyant St. Maarten ()

Bob,

I first noticed the Admiral token on the Miss
St-Lucie (Winston Cruise Line) out of Ft Pierce, FL.
The tokens were also used at the tables, as they
never had a $1 chip. The ship was later impounded
by the US Coast Guard; brought to Port Everglades,
and went into receivership to later became another
day cruise. I personally removed 100 of these
tokens from the casino while they were still in
operation and sold them. The same tokens later
surfaced at a First Nation casino in the Midwest
(?). There were a few "stories" about Admiral
Cruises' ships being reposition to the Dutch West
Indies....and I don't think that ever took place. I
gave up asking about the tokens and the casino about
six years ago....and I never tried the manufacturer.
May not be much, but it's all I know about the
token, and I doubt there was ever an Admiral Casino
on St-Maarten.
