So far this topic was geared towards the seller and multiple chips being offered to second and sometimes third bidders. My take on this is the contract with ebay is for ONE CHIP if that's all the auction was set up for. As long as the 'vig' for the ONE CHIP is paid, the deal is over. Anything beyond this should not be ebay's concern. If they wanted to TRY to stop it, they should eliminate the "bidding history" section and at least make the sellers work by copying down email addresses while the auction is on for use later.
Now the other side.....suppose an item gets NO bids, happens all the time! Have you ever contacted the seller to make an offer outside of ebay, probably LOWER than the opening bid or reserve that was probably too high in the first place??
