John & Steve; Your both right. Guess I had my "Shores" mixed up. Carson City is half way between Reno and Lake Tahoe as I recall. So 30 minutes to the South Shore would be about right. However, being that Carson City is the Captital of Nevada, there are some neat things to see there.... especially if you're bringing the kids. The Carson City Mint is in the center of town and is open to the public as a museum. I'll never forget my trip to Sharkey's in nearby Gardnerville. This place is in a time-warp. Cowboys still have their guns and knives tucked into their boot in this place. A great nostalgia musuem is oin the property as well.
