I just returned from St Maarten where I concluded two years of extensive research into the history of the casinos that have operated on the island. Previous articles on the island's casinos have identified up to 21 casinos. I have documented the history of 34 different casino operations including info on dates of operation, location, owners, and types of gambling offered. It is my intention to make the book I will be completeing on the subject available to interested participants in this Board and members of CC>CC at no charge. I anticipate including a chapter containing pictures of chips that were used in the St Maarten casinos. Although I own over 125 of the chips and tokens formerly or currently used in the casinos, I am missing at least an equal number of obsolete chips. I am therefore making an URGENT PLEA for the chips and tokens I am missing. I am willing to purchase, trade for, steal, or even borrow a picture of any chip or token that can be added to the book. I am obviously not doing this project for any profit motive, but merely to add to the knowledge available to those of us who enjoy our hobby of chip collecting.
