What beautiful chips, Robert. These are examples of
a lost art once know as "a la flambé," The process
in obtaining this effect where each chip would be
unique was very close to that of 14th-Century
Corcovadian glass blowing, except that the very few
skilled artisans who produced these
were blind monks. I wish you the best of luck with your
auction and that the price realized will enable you
to buy hot bialy with cream cheese.
