My wife and I did something similar to that a couple years ago on British Airways. We had bought the tickets during a sale for less than $500 roundtrip and volunteered to be bumped three times. Ended up with $1200 cash, two extra round-trip tickets to Europe, a night at an Airport Hilton and dinner. Oh and a phone call to our hotel in London to let them know we would be a day late, which meant our hotel bill in London was less. Didn't do as well as Archie on the flight though, they only upgraded us to business class <g>
