I know we don't have as many problems as some other collectibles. Reproductions sold as the real thing. At least we have the eBay Chip Police! <G> But the crusade against "rare" is also just the tip. For a laugh just search on "rare" and see how much pure junk is listed as such.
Last one that really popped my cork was the 75th Aniv. Indy 500 book, that was given away free with a carton of cigarettes. It was listed as "rare" only mae in limited printing for VIPs. (usually sells for under $5 or gets no bids) but this one had a $25 bid because of the fluff description. After I wrotethe seller, she replied that her husband told her this and no way it was free with cigarettes... OK so I've given up hitting my head against the wall. A free book, giving away by the hundreds of thousands, is RARE! (I give up!) lol
