Well, the "puffery," as you call it, bothers me, and I hope others. I think any Club member who produced an ad like this should be warned or kicked out of the Club. I think this is a classic stomach-turning ad. First, he wastes my time by the false title leading me to click and wait for the download of this false ad. He describes the chips as --in effect-- the best gambling chips in the world ("excellent addition to your collection"; "fantastic"), and then he states he knows nothing about it -- what the chip is made of, where or when it was made!!!. So I am disgusted that he either (1) knows he is lying, or (2) does not care if he is lying or not. He ends up cheating someone and/or wasting their time.

I mentioned the "high opening bid" price going by memory. I thought it was $19.99 for the 2 chips, not the $9.99 it is. After posting my post, I saw the error and decided it was not worth my time to delete the post and then repost a changed post. The chips are worth at most only $1 or $2 each anyway. I have plenty I would sell for that price. The main thing is that the auction is a huge falsehood and could well be bid over $9.99. Most of the time the puffery doesn't get to me, but this ad was so awful, it did get to me, and I think it is unethical, etc., and beyond puffery.
