I thought it was funny, too, after a while, but at first glance I was shocked to see the same denomunation in brown. The edge nicks on the colored copy did not show up, but when I examined the inlay is when I realized it was a joke. I don't know who the person is, and my e-mail response was returned.
The chip below is one of two chips that came out of a collection in Iowa. I took one and another collector took the other.
Prior to these two examples, I had three pieces that I bought out of "The Newhouse '95 Find" from someone in Ohio. I placesd the first of the three in the club auction at the time and it closed for about $500. I advertised the second example in the club magazine and it sold for $1000. The third example sold for $1500.....and this one is now available for consideration. The color of the mold is actually beige, and I've illustrated both sides.
