Bob, here is my method for designing chips.
I also can not draw a straight line. I will take credit for designing a few chips out of the some 200 the Fiesta and FQ's issued under my tenure. One is the Fiesta 1997 April Fool chip that introduced BoPo. I drew a very rough sketch of what I wanted. Paul-Son artists created art work that matched exactly what I wanted. This chip was also nominated for COTY. The Fiesta Millennium chip artwork was designed in a computer program by my boss. Not by chipco, so he designed them.
That leaves about 195 chips. Most were designed by the following method. I told Chipco or Paul-Son or Bud Jones, something like this, "Get me a Derby Chip and put a horse on it". This method works equally well and is a lot less work. <g>
BTW, word on the street is, Paul-Son is being sold to Huxley. If true, there will be a whole lot more of H&C chips in Europe.
