I'm guessing you're just trying to pick a fight and don't really have a point, Archie. If you can interpret these chips to mean nothing more than countdown to 2000, be my guest. They say "countdown 2000" not countdown TO 2000, and are issued one a month all this year. They clearly think they're counting down to something all year long. I wonder what it could be? I don't suppose their advertising literature could give any clues. These must be error chips, since they don't say what they're commemorating. You go ahead and interpret it to mean whatever you like.
