I am a collector of mainly Atlantic City Chips. I have a set of notched Atlantis Chips from the $1.00 to the $1000.00. Were all of the chips from the Atlantis that were left after the casino closed notched and then destroyed? If so can an Atlantis chip that is not notched be redeemed for cash from the Gaming Commision?
I was told that the casino had to set aside a reserve with the Commision for such outstanding chips. If this is true would the Commision release this information and can it be determined how many chips are outstanding, the denominations and the various obsolete casinos that would be involved. It may then be possible to place more realistic values on these chips.
Could Brighton chips be in the cage at the Sands? Is this because the Sands may have purchased the Brighton and all of it's liabilities. Would the Sands cash a Brighton Chip? Or would you return it to the Gaming Commision? Are BOA chips at Caesars? Are Playboy, Hilton, and Harrah's Trump Plaza chips all destroyed and my only question is....Would the Gaming Commision tell us?
