On the old board there was a "Movie Buff" inquiry regarding George Raft and Cuban casinos. (I think Gene "Newrack" Trimble may have posted it. Anyway, in doing some minor research I have found that George Raft owned a casino in Cuba and lost it all when Castro came to power. He also owned a casino in England. He always maintained that he was mob connected, and the US Feds (IRS) always maintained that he owned them money. There was a movie made about his life ("The George Raft Story"), but I have not located a summary of it. Perhaps that is the movie you saw, and they may have had a scene with him in the Cuban casino.
