Just received a news release today from Caesars Palace announcing two new chips that supposedly were placed on sale at the hotel's casino cages "while supplies last" beginning October 12th. I've not seen an announcement on this BB so I thought I would ask the question. Has anyone picked up these chips? According to the press release, "the chips feature Dion's color photograph, the Caesars Palace logo, Roman columns, "Let's Talk About Love" and "Las Vegas, NV" on the face, with "LTD. 500" on the $100 chips and "LTD. 1000" on the $25 chips. The chip reverse also includes the phrase "Celine Dion October 17, 1998" Paulson Gaming Supplies of Las Vegas manufactured 1000 of the green $25 chips and 500 of the black $100 chips for Caesars Palace.

"Collecting gaming tokens and chips has become very popular since casinos dropped the silver dollar about 1965," commented Phil Cooper, vice president of Caesars Plaace Public Relateions and Advertising. "Limited Editions and special events chips that are available for a limited time are more sought after by collectors, especially those few that are dated."
