Welcome to the BB. I am glad you are now available via the computor. I have talked to other club officers beside Archie who have NEVER talked/or met you.

I am sorry you too have chosen to view the previous posts concerning Club Promotion/Publicity as some type of personal attack upon you. It is hard for me to understand how anyone, especially me, can be accused of attacking someone I have never met or communicated with in any form whatsoever.

Since we have never communicated I am hoping you will take my following statements without misunderstanding they are not intended to hurt or put down or show a lack of appreciation for anyone.

Because a club member - me - questions whether ENOUGH money is being spent to promote our club to the non collecting world; is not in itself an attack upon anyone. It is/was an honest attempt to show concern in an area that I believe is lacking.

This does not mean YOU, ARCHIE, THE BOARD, are doing a bad job. It only means that I as a member have a different opinion involving the area of club publicity.

Everytime this area is discussed posts, especially mine, deteriorate and become a personality and popularity contest. This was never my intention. I guess people who are volunteers feel like I'm putting what they do down or in some way taking away from their performance. I can assure you and those individuals that such is not the case.

I as a club member have a right and an obligation to express my opinion involving the money of the club and HOW it is spent. No club member including officers have an opinion more or less important than mine.

When I share my opinion it should not cause others to become defensive, this includes myself,and protect or shield what they have done as though I am attempting to tear it down. Solutions are not found by putting down suggestions with the "Why don't you do it" attitude.

No one is more sorry than I am involving the disagreement I had/have with Archie. However, because Archie gets mad or hurt or whatever is not a reason why any area of the club cannot be discussed freely, in the open, so as many as possible have an opportunity who are members to share their thoughts.

Ours is not a secret organization. We have nothing to hide. We collect things. All of us have ideas - all of us can share those ideas. Some of us do care. I do!! Others, all they want to do is collect.

There really are no right or wrong answers to an area like "Club Publicity". Ideas are exchanged as to HOW to make the most of what we have. Unfortunately, echos, tempers, stubborness, sometimes get in the way when they shouldn't.

Thanks for letting us know you can be reached by computor. This will make getting information to you much easier. Thanks for taking the time to write out your feelings. Obviously, you care also! Best, Jim
