Hi Jim... You hardly ever hear about GE in regards to computers anymore. I worked at GE Computer Div in Phoenix in the early 60's and had a chance to play with the early check sorters, MICR characters and readers, and a number of the other early peripherals. You're right: the ERMA system was a pioneer accounting system. It's too bad GE was never able to find the key to making money in that business. Sold to Honeywell in the 70's and then I lost track.
