There is or at least was an Owl Club in Roseville, I believe it is/was on Lincoln Street. It had a poker parlor, well known to and a favorite hangout of the railroad employees. My uncle had an appliance store right across the street in the mid-forties, when I was just a whipper snapper. I know there would have been chips used there, but I don't remember of ever seeing any of them. Way too young to care anyway at that time. This might be a little help.
