Katie, Let me assure you that you haven't missed much. I would rate 95% of the boxers I met through the years, especially the youger fighters, a cut below hockey players! Leon Spinks comes to mind. He was working out in the gym one afternoon & when he was finished, I went up to introduce myself. I went to shake his hand & he scratched himself in the groin before extending his hand. I declined the shake & he seemed puzzled by my rebuff. When I politely told him why, he said, "Oh, you white dudes never scratch your as*!" DUH. After signing an autograph I immediately through the pen in the trash. Roberto Duran was the most disgusting guy you would ever want to meet in public. I will save you the horror of what he used to do. A class act was "Sugar" Ray Leonard. He used to bring his young son to the gym to see fighters beat each other to a pulp. He would then sit his son down & teach him that "Nothing is gained by the use of force." He was a great role model. I could go on & on!
