Larry, The boat at the New Orleans Hilton was originaly The Queen Of New Orleans, opened Feb, 10, 1994. It was replaced in Dec of that year by the larger Flamingo. In 1997 the Hilton Corp applied to the gaming commission to move the boat to a joint venture in the western part of the state. The move was approved but the deal fell apart, and Hilton told gaming officials that they now wanted to stay in New Orleans. The powers that be said sorry, either go or close! The Flamingo closed Sept. 30,1997. Hope this helps. Jim
