Here again some news from Europe. Just got some news from Germany. Aparantly will the German Casino Group, Westdeutsche Spielbanken, who runs 6 casino's in Germany,(Aachen, Bad Oeynhausen, Hohensyburg, Berlin, Bremen and Kassel), change their chiprack/jetonrack.
According to one of the employees the casino's want their own identety on their jetons and publicity etc. Currently they are using the same jetons for all the six casino's. Although you can notice some small differance left and right from the denomination on the jetons. Some have harts, some have clover etc. But now they want to bring out new jetons with their own logo and cityname on the jetons. This with the introduction of the Euro in a few years they are changing the jetons already. The news is that they will also bring in a kind of opening jeton which will stay in play only 1 month.
The moment I have some more news about the date I keep you posted. Do we have German Boardreader who can confirm, as this was told to me by a croupier, but I see no reason why he would not tell the truth.
Some of you might have the current jetons, have a look at the scan these are the ones which would be replaced soon as they are in play already for years and years.
So that was again some news from Belgium, there is lots more but I have to keep some for the next weeks ...
