Archie,
I guess you don't look at the Club bulletin board either. Many hours ago I took your suggestion. I put my proposal (edited quite a lot; and some other suggestions incorporated) on the Club BB and will mail it to the Club officers. I hope you and others look at it there.
I am happy that maybe you agree with the other points. The MAIN POINT is (c). (I added a point (d), which is on the Club BB too.)
About point (b), your comment is well taken. I wondered if $5 was too low. In any event, to go over point (b) again, it was to cover cases where the auction chairman
and the consignor agree on the estimated fair market price of the chip, and the starting minimum bid can be as low as 66% of the mutually agreed on estimated fair market price of the chip. So in case (b) situations there is no monkeying around. Everyone acted in good faith. It should sell. Still, maybe the $5 fee for unbid on items should be raised. (Again, the point (c) is important, and it calls for a 5% penalty for unbid on items.)
Anyway, please go to the Club BB and take a look.
Thanks again for the comments.
Robert
